20 June 2019UN International Day of Yoga - 21 June 2019 sequence

The teaching body of Iyengar Yoga in the UK (IYA) have advised us of a sequence to be practised to celebrate this year's UN International Day of Yoga on Friday 21st June.  Unfortunately this came a little late for the classes this week (we used a sequence given in 2016), however please feel free to download and practise yourself - in the knowledge thousands of other yogis are doing this too on that day.

The sequence may also be found in our Library section.

02 June 2019UN International Day of Yoga 20 June 2019

The annual UN International Day of Yoga is celebrated usually on 21 June.  The theme this year is Climate Action.

As we have visiting teacher, Kirsten Agar Ward, on 21 & 22 June we are celebrating by holding two led practice sessions on Wednesday in Fiona's classes.  New students are welcome to come along and try at 6pm for beginners or 7:30 for more experienced students (ie those who have been attending regular classses for at least 1 year or more).  Last year those staying for both sessions worked through 65 asanas in total.
